I see red, I see green, I see yellow and blue
Screamin for me to take 'n taste 'n see
A kid without parents; without much cash
Wanting to see what candy's all about

All around kids are eating; ain't I so jealous
I feel that the tempter has too much to ask
A free sample does he offer with a genuine gleam
An inch more and I'd know what pink tasteth

I see big, I see small, I see just the right size
I see nice, I see good, I see better ones too
Taste them once, taste 'em twice, spit 'em if you hate 'em
In a store of pretty billions there's many more waiting

The candyman poses the dreaded question
As all eyes in the store, upon me are laid
With a disgusted look, he scorns my choice
A gourmet that will take a fairytale wait



God made me and He made the candies
He knows the recipe for my gourmet feast
I'll have starters, then some more
By the time I'm just starting on the dessert
All those candies would've melted away
So I'll pass the candies for what's coming
Though it's hard enough the wait
